I’m a chocoholic.

There, I’ve said it.  Fortunately, I’m not alone with my addiction. I’ll bet at least a few of you reading this are chocoholics too.  Yeah, I see you nodding your heads.  It’s good to be in good company.  But, something else I have to admit to is I’m a chocolate snob.

That’s right – a chocolate SNOB.  I don’t like cheap chocolate.  There’s very few kinds of chocolate that I actually enjoy.  With my first taste of GOOD chocolate, I realized how much I’d been missing!

So, with those 2 admissions being out there now, can you guess how I reacted when Mom Central asked if I wanted to review Ghiradelli’s new Luxe Milk chocolate bars.  Premium chocolate bar review. . . nahhhh, sorry – not interested.

HA!!!

So, those super women at Mom Central sent me ALL FIVE FLAVORS – my children swarmed me like bees to honey, and tried … TRIED… to rifle the chocolate from me.  It wasn’t pretty.

Ok, so anyway  – after we were done wrestling around on the floor, and they limped back to their rooms, defeated, I sat down and actually read the packaging, went to the website and read about them – and I swear, I did NOT eat them all (at once).

luxe_bar_duet Ghiradelli Chocolate uses premium chocolate and combines them with all natural ingredients to produce such goodness as Luxe Milk Almond, Luxe Milk Hazelnut, Luxe Milk Milk (milk chocolate, not *milk* LOL), Luxe Milk Crisp, and my personal favorite,  Luxe Milk Duet – a combination of milk AND dark chocolate in every bite.  It is heavenly!

Ghiradelli’s new Luxe Milk bars are currently available at your local Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Borders and Linens & Things.  Soon, they’ll be available at Target, Blockbuster and Cost Plus locations.   I am hoping to find at least 1 or 2 (cases) in my Christmas stocking this season!

My SPECIAL thanks to Mom Central for allowing me this opportunity!

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button

To help christen my new reviews blog, I’m participating in the Bloggy Giveaways carnival!  I love hosting giveaways, and I thought that since this is a review blog, I’d give away something I got for doing a review!  How’s that for giving back? LOL

First, please let me introduce myself.  My name is Dawn – you can follow me on twitter where I’m known as Dawniemom.  You can visit my regular blog, Coming to a Nursery Near You or my recipe blog, My Tasty Space.  You could also go check out my photography blog.

I am the mom of 3 insane monkeys children – my oldest son just turned 12; my daughter is 5-1/2; my youngest son is 21 months. They do keep me busy, but yeah, if you’re here, you’re most likely a mom, so you know how that goes.

I know, you want to know what I’m giving away – I can tell.  So here it is:

pillsbury_doughboy Pillsbury has a long standing tradition of quality in my book.  I know that when I buy a Pillsbury product, I *know* that I can count it to be GOOD.

Pillsbury’s new Savorings Flaky Pastry Bites is no exception.  They’re new and let me tell you, they’re DELICIOUS. LOL

I found them in the frozen section, right where all the other hors d’oeuvres type of snacks & whatnot.  Our store only carries 2 of the 3 varieties that they come in, so I chose buffalo style chicken over the mozzarella and pepperoni.  I wish they’d had the spinach & cheese variety, because that just sounds SO yummy too. So the photo above is of the buffalo chicken variety.  I baked them as directed, on a sprayed, foiled sheet and (begrudgingly) let them cool a bit.

They are 1 inch square before you bake them, and they plumped up just like a Pillsbury item would.  The bottoms got brown and crunchy and the tops were crisp.  The flavor was excellent.  The chicken, apparently minced, was a bit too small for me but the buffalo flavor was just right. Not too spicy, just delicious.  I asked hubby his opinion, as he doesn’t like very hot/spicy stuff, and he really liked them – in fact, he ate the rest. (the brat)

Pillsbury Savorings come 12 to a package – the box indicates that there’s 3 to a serving – and I suppose in a civilized house, that might be so LOL  However, hub & I ate the box – poof, all gone.  They were that good. :)

When you visit Pillsbury’s site, you can print out a $1 coupon for your own box (or 5) of Pillsbury Savorings, too!

My thanks to Coyne PR for the opportunity to review these Pillsbury Savorings!

Reblog this post [with Zemanta]

Do you or your family suffer from allergies?  I know we do.  Not just the typical Autumn allergies as the leaves fall and the mold spores are everywhere.  I also have problems in the house.  I just found out about this new Clorox Anywhere® Anti-Allergen Fabric spray that I can spray directly on to the fabrics in my house to help reduce the irritants that get us all sneezing.

As soon as I received it, I sprayed it on Anthony’s mattress after I’d stripped the sheets. He’s always having problems with allergies if anyone’s been in there jumping on his bed, because the mattress is ollllld.  After I sprayed it, I let it dry and put the sheets back on before bed.  He hasn’t had a sneezy problem since.

After I saw the difference it had made in his room, I went around the house spraying the couch and curtains – things that I don’t typically vacuum.  It’s made such a big difference!  My 2nd favorite part? It is fragrance free!  I’m VERY sensitive to stinky stuff so the fact that it’s NOT stinky (or perfumed or whatever) is great for me AND my kids.  Yay!

My thanks to Mom Central for allowing me to share the news of Clorox Anywhere® Anti-Allergen Fabric spray with you!
