Getting Organized with Microsoft Office

Although I am a BIG fan of organization, my life is such that it’s virtually impossible to BE organized.  Like so many moms, I have so many things going on at once, at any given time, that it all seems to fall to pieces if I let it.  Between homeschooling my 3 kids, doing blog reviews for various companies, running 5+ blogs and many more websites, running a household for 5 people (and 2 furbabies), planning a long-distance Christmas and oh yeah – volunteering to help organize a 25th high school reunion(!), I don’t know whether I’m coming or going sometimes (ok, MOST times).

When using Microsoft Office Small Business tools, I have created workspaces for each of my ongoing “projects” – the reunion is in one, Christmas gift projects in another, even household To-Do lists in my household management project.  Each group has all it’s own pre-made documents, and I can create my own as well.  It has saved me so much time in just that step!

With some of my projects, I am able to invite Jimmy (my hubby) to view them from his computer, and even allow him to add to the documents (such as to-do lists, etc.), saving more time from back & forth emails.

Another EXTREMELY useful feature is that I can access these from any other computer.  So if I take my laptop with me somewhere and think of something I need to add, I can do it – instead of hoping I remember it when I get home.

I’ll be creating a Thanksgiving group later today, and in it, I’ll be able to upload my recipes that I use every year – no more searching for them the night before Thanksgiving!  I’m just so amazed at how much I can integrate Microsoft Office Live and their Small Business tools into my life – and I haven’t even TOUCHED upon my own business yet!

If I can finally get the rest of my life organized, maybe I have a chance! :)
