Pillsbury has a long standing tradition of quality in my book. I know that when I buy a Pillsbury product, I *know* that I can count it to be GOOD.
Pillsbury’s new Savorings Flaky Pastry Bites is no exception. They’re new and let me tell you, they’re DELICIOUS. LOL
I found them in the frozen section, right where all the other hors d’oeuvres type of snacks & whatnot. Our store only carries 2 of the 3 varieties that they come in, so I chose buffalo style chicken over the mozzarella and pepperoni. I wish they’d had the spinach & cheese variety, because that just sounds SO yummy too. So the photo above is of the buffalo chicken variety. I baked them as directed, on a sprayed, foiled sheet and (begrudgingly) let them cool a bit.
They are 1 inch square before you bake them, and they plumped up just like a Pillsbury item would. The bottoms got brown and crunchy and the tops were crisp. The flavor was excellent. The chicken, apparently minced, was a bit too small for me but the buffalo flavor was just right. Not too spicy, just delicious. I asked hubby his opinion, as he doesn’t like very hot/spicy stuff, and he really liked them – in fact, he ate the rest. (the brat)
Pillsbury Savorings come 12 to a package – the box indicates that there’s 3 to a serving – and I suppose in a civilized house, that might be so LOL However, hub & I ate the box – poof, all gone. They were that good.
When you visit Pillsbury’s site, you can print out a $1 coupon for your own box (or 5) of Pillsbury Savorings, too!
My thanks to Coyne PR for the opportunity to review these Pillsbury Savorings!

OMG! I saw these at Walmart last week, and bought them on impulse, because I used to be addicted often eat these things called Buffalo Bites: small rolls, hollowed out & filled with shredded buffalo chicken & blue cheese, topped with mozzerella, then frozen for your convenience. Anyway, the Pillsbury? SO MUCH BETTER! Puff pastry is so much tastier than those chewy frozen rolls ever were…. I could eat a box all on my own.
